You Tube Gold: Jayson Tatum Explodes

Now in his third NBA season, former Blue Devil Jayson Tatum has overcome early doubts about his athleticism.

True, he’s not the most athletic guy in the league but he’s certainly athletic enough. And he’s a crafty scorer too.

Take this recent game against Orlando where he scored 33 points in 39 minutes.

Danny Ainge, who pulled off a tremendous trade with Philly to take Tatum at #3 (Philly got Markelle Fultz, who has been a major bust).

It was a very safe gamble. Ainge wanted Tatum and he knew that Philly would take Fultz at #1 and the Lakers would select Lonzo Ball at #2.

For taking Tatum at #3 he got exactly what he wanted plus two more first round picks. Pretty great.

And as you can see, he has justified Ainge’s faith in him.

The questions about Tatum have faded away now and for the first time, Tatum will be an All-Star.
