Check this out - Antonio Sellers is a 16-year-old high school player from New York who loves Duke basketball.
Sadly, he had surgery for a brain tumor and is still recovering.
His dream has been to come to a Duke-UNC game and when the Tar Heels come to Cameron, he’ll be here.
We hope that when some Cameron Crazies see this they organize something special for the kid like “Antonio Sellers come sit with us!” We don’t know if he actually can - he’s in a wheelchair in this article -but we’re pretty sure he’d love to be asked (or whatever. Anything you guys come up with would surely make his day).
Let’s do whatever we can to make his trip to Cameron very, very special and maybe when he fully recovers, we’ll see him here again someday. It’s his first trip here but clearly, he’s one of us and has been for some time.
A word to Sellers and his family if they see this: come early, make a day of it, spend some time in K-ville, then go on in when the doors open. You'll be glad you did.
