No matter how you cut it, the turnaround that Duke women’s basketball has pulled off since losing five straight games and falling to 7-8 on January 9th.

Since then the Blue Devils have gone 9-2 and with Thursday’s win over Virginia, Duke is now 16-10 and 10-5 in the ACC.

Duke beat Virginia on Senior Night 62-47 and claimed a share of third place in the ACC (Virginia Tech and Florida State are also 10-5).

Leaonna Odom had 17 points and 12 boards to pace Duke. Haley Gorecki added 15 while Jade Williams tossed in 11.

Now the tough part: Duke closes out with three tough road games: NC State on the 24th, Virginia Tech on the 27th and then at UNC on March 1st.

It won't be an easy path but if Duke can close out well and then do well in the tournament, a 20-win season is still very possible - and also a potential NCAA bid.
