That K-Keatts Handshake

People always leap to conclusions

Here’s a little bit of behind-the-scene stuff from the Duke-State game.

After the game, some people thought Coach K sort of blew off Kevin Keatts. Not so, says K: “He was just saying that they were going to storm the court, to be careful. He was great. They were great. They were all great. I wish we had come to the dance a little bit better.”

After the game too, after his press conference, Coach K talked to Markell Johnson, gave him a hug, and told him had not played good but great.

He’s as competitive as anyone but with a few youthful exceptions, he’s always been a gracious loser. The suggestions that he was a poor loser were based on wishful thinking.
