Duke, On A Major Roll, Knocks Off #14 FSU

After a dismal start, Duke women are riding high

Duke is hot. Duke is smoking hot.

After a dreadful start to the season, the Blue Devils have really come on and have now won eight of their last ten games.

The latest victory was a 66-64 home win over Florida State Sunday night.

Haley Gorecki had 21 points, six rebounds and one assist while Leaonna Odom had 18.

After the game Coach Joanne P. McCallie had this to say: “This [Blue Devil] team has been in the tunnel and totally focused. They haven’t been doing anything but focusing on the game in front of us, and everybody, they have come together to play. That’s part of our thing right now, it’s us focusing on us and anything can happen, and that’s exactly the position we want to put ourselves in.”

With the win, Duke is now 15-10 and 9-5 in the ACC.
