Someone Please Help This Man Part II

We may have found an answer for Josh Pastner

Not long ago we published a call for someone to please help Georgia Tech’s Josh Pastner.

He’s the only coach we’re aware of who is wearing a face shield and it just looks ridiculous.

In our previous post, we had talked about that and the general tendency of coaches to pull down masks, which kind of defeats the purpose of the whole thing and had asked ACC students to come up with a better design.

We don’t know if anyone has worked on this yet but we did stumble across a nice solution.

This shield allows your face to be seen and says that it doesn’t fog up.

This is a good starting point but we’d like to see the basic idea improved. For instance, you could incorporate goggles or some sort of an eye shield. Second, for coaches or other professionals who have to be heard, you could incorporate a microphone and speaker. And third, if you closed the bottom in some way, it would probably be better than leaving it open.

But for Pastner, as an off-the-shelf solution? It’s pretty good. It would save a lot of people a lot of hassle. In fact, we’d recommend the manufacturers send them out to coaches to try. If you got one on a major figure your sales would more than justify the expenses you’d incur.
