Duke freshman Jalen Johnson, who has shown immense potential early in this fragmented season, is out “indefinitely: with a foot injury.
That’s a tough blow for Duke as he’s immensely talented. However, it’s a real opportunity for other guys to step up and prove themselves. We don’t know who will take it, but someone is going to get a great opportunity to shine in Johnson’s absence.
This makes life tougher against Notre Dame Wednesday of course but Duke has nearly two weeks to get ready for Pitt on the 29th, so if Johnson is back that’d be ideal. And if not?
Plenty of time to tinker.
