Not as bad as it seemed at the time

Duke target Patrick Baldwin, who suffered what appeared to be a serious injury recently, has gotten good news: his high school coach thought that he might have dislocated his ankle but fortunately, it was a high ankle sprain instead.

He’ll still miss significant time, but he won’t have to have surgery and will be back on the court soon enough after rehabbing.

His high school coach, Andy Cerroni, texted this after the news: We are so happy that Patrick’s injury is not as serious as we first thought!! His health and welfare is and was our first concern and he has been checked by the best in the business. Many prayers have been answered and now he can get to work and rehab.”

Baldwin, at a minimum a Top Three recruit, is still considering several schools including Duke, Northwestern where both parents attended, and Milwaukee, where his father coaches. Wherever he goes, he’ll be terrific.
