A lot of chaos underway

We’re not sure we can put together a complete list but just looking at the headlines, a lot of coaches have contracted Covid-19 and a lot of players as well.

So here’s at least a partial list:

  • Steve Wojciechowski, Marquette. No apparent issue.
  • Johnny Dawkins, Central Florida. No apparent issue.
  • Tommy Amaker, Harvard. Season canceled.
  • Jeff Capel, Pitt. No apparent issue.
  • Chris Collins, Northwestern. No apparent issue but Northwestern pulled out of the Hall of Fame Classic as a precaution.
  • Bobby Hurley, Arizona State. No apparent issue.
  • Mike Brey, Notre Dame. No apparent issue.
  • Kenny Blakeney, Howard. No apparent issue.
  • Larry Krystkowiak, Utah. Team status: On pause.
  • Scott Drew, Baylor. Team status: On pause.
  • Rick Barnes, Tennessee. Team status: On pause.
  • Kyle Smith, Washington State. Team status: on track.
  • Jim Boeheim, Syracuse, cleared. Team status: Playing Friday.
  • Tom Izzo, Michigan State, cleared. Team status: on track.
  • Ole Miss: two week pause.
  • Gardner-Webb: on pause.
  • Northern Arizona: on pause.
  • Creighton: on pause (former Blue Devil Alex O’Connell is a Bluejay now).
  • Wichita State: on pause (three games in three days are also off).
  • Florida A&M women: season canceled.
  • Ivy League: season canceled.
  • New Mexico: relocated to Texas.
  • New Mexico State: relocated to Texas.
  • DePaul: first three games canceled.
  • Loyola of Chicago: paused.
  • Tennessee Tech: coach Jon Pelphrey positive, team still playing Friday.
  • Detroit Mercy: canceled trip to Kentucky.
  • UConn women: first four games postponed.
