Several ACC teams have solid (at the least) 2021 classes on the way and it looks like Miami may join their ranks.
Jim Larranaga already had commitments from 6-1 point guard Bensley Joseph and 6-4 combo guard Nisine Poplar and now they have a commitment from Jakai Robinson, a 6-5 shooting guard from Fort Washington, which is on the Maryland side of the Potomac just down from DC.
By some reckonings, Miami now has the 12th best class of 2021.
Remember the days when Miami and FSU could both reliably suck, when both teams struggled to keep up in recruiting?
Yeah, not so much anymore.
Florida State has recruited and competed at a high level and Miami has intermittently too. Having both schools build basketball cultures is great for the whole conference. We’d like to see Clemson, Georgia Tech and Wake Forest hit a higher level too and, dare we dream it, BC.
