Coach K talked a bit via video about where his team is - he’s pleased - and the question of how to do Countdown to Craziness without fans:
“Hopefully, we can figure out the season here, how we’re going to play, when we’re going to play. It’s a little bit chaotic right now, based on what the NCAA put out and, of course, in this uncertain environment. We’re excited. I wish you could see us. We’re going to try to do something with Countdown, eventually, just so you know that. We’re anxious to share this with all our Duke fans. That’s what’s made this so much fun. Again, you’d be proud of these guys. Hopefully, you’ll get a chance to see them in the near future.”
Seeing in person would be best but on the other hand, Duke’s social media team is the best in the country and our bet is they’re licking their chops over how to do this. Whatever comes up is likely to be at a minimum cool as hell and possibly bleeding edge stuff.
The reason we’re here (Corona) isn’t exciting but what comes out of Countdown To Craziness, if it goes ahead, is potentially mind-blowing.
One suggestion: include fans however possible. That would be huge and very smart. It would also be very cool to include parents, grandparents and children. If it were us, we’d find the oldest relative and spotlight them.
Whatever they do, we’re really looking forward to it.
