You Tube Gold: That Time Carlos Boozer Hit A Ref In The Restricted Zone

Fortunately, no harm, no (technical) foul

Chicago Bulls v Los Angeles Clippers
LOS ANGELES, CA - NOVEMBER 24: Chicago Bulls power forward Carlos Boozer (5) rests during the Los Angeles Clippers 121-82 victory over the Chicago Bulls at the Staples Center at the Staples Center on November 24, 2013 in Los Angeles, California.

This is not nearly as bad as it looks which in turn allows it to be quite funny.

Former Duke star Carlos Boozer, celebrating a play he made while playing for the Chicago Bulls, turned and was swinging his fist low in celebration.

Unfortunately he didn’t see official Danny Crawford and he appears to make contact with Crawford’s bits and pieces, as our British friends might say.

The look on his face as soon as he realizes what he has done is incredible. Any man can empathize. The last thing you want to do is to punch a guy in the BVDs because you know exactly how it feels since someone - a brother or friend or neighbor or a stray piece of sporting equipment - has hit you there either by accident (hopefully) or on purpose. You only have to mention it to a man to make him wince.

Fortunately, either Boozer didn’t connect where he thought he did or Crawford was wearing a cup.

He walks away from this smiling and goes to the sideline beaming and cracking up. Boozer looks again, maybe in disbelief. Boozer, who is a very large man, surely understands he could really hurt someone like this. It ends up being a funny story rather than a trip to the hospital.
