Deebo Coleman should be an instant upgrade for the Yellow Jackets

Josh Pastner came to Georgia Tech with a reputation as a great recruiter but he hasn’t been able to live up to that yet and we’re heading into Year Five.

Well he’s picked up arguably the best recruit of his Atlanta era as Florida guard Deebo Coleman has committed to the Yellow Jackets.

A 6-6 shooting guard from West Nassau, Florida, Coleman is seen as a four-star prospect in the class of 2021. Some people have him rated higher but you probably know our opinion of those sorts of ratings: you prove it in college, not high school.

So we’ll see him next fall presumably. In the meantime, he’s likely to be a shot of adrenalin for a program - and coach - that needs it.
