This video is probably too long but it’s still a fun and different look at last year’s Duke miracle at UNC, mostly because it’s done from the perspective of UNC students.
The main narrator seems like a decent sort of kid. It’s hard to dislike him.
Even so, it’s easy, as Duke fans, to laugh at his distress (don’t feel bad - they do the same thing in reverse).
There’s also a lot of footage of the pre-game stuff, with ESPN’s Game Day and Jay Bilas walking over to talk to some students who have a sign that says Duke Girls are ugly. If we understand correctly, he walked over with his daughter, who is apparently a recent Duke graduate, so that was funny.
Ol’ Roy makes a cameo but the best part of this, naturally, is the reaction by UNC students to the loss. It’s a great commentary on how much this rivalry means to both sides.
By the way, some of the camera work is kind of shaky so if you want to skip ahead to when Wendell Moore guts the whole arena, it’s at 20:42.
