It’s still a good ways off - he won’t be going to college until 2023 and that assumes that he actually does go to college and not overseas, the G-League or directly to the NBA - but the Crystal Ball is now listing Duke as the likely landing spot for LeBron James, Jr.
Other schools have been mentioned, notably Michigan State, but Duke would make a lot of sense in one way: James and Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski built a relationship during their time with Team USA and James would obviously trust his son to someone who coached him who he deeply respects.
We don’t know how much longer James will be in the NBA. He’ll be 36 in December and while his game hasn’t slipped it will. It’s conceivable that he’ll be in the league long enough for his son to arrive, assuming he’s good enough.
Either way, it’d be fun to see him around Cameron when he’s able.
