Reunited and it feels so good.

After reading for months that Tre Jones is a second-round draft pick, It’s been interesting to see a lot of people - fans, reporters and others - look at the draft and think that guy could really help us.

We’ve seen his name mentioned in connection with a lot of teams. This time it’s a Pelicans site getting excited about the former Duke point guard, seeing him as a backup for Lonzo Ball. Ball creates magic with another former Blue Devil, Zion Williamson, but he is erratic.

It’s interesting to see Jones getting re-evaluated without the normal stuff players go through in drafts. And we’d be thrilled to see him join Duke South (although he might push Brotherhood member Frank Jackson out), we’d really like to see him taken by Boston.

Because with Boston, he could go out on the floor with Marcus Smart and that backcourt would strangle opponents.

A lot of people don’t realize that as a sophomore, Jones wasn’t able to be as aggressive defensively because he was asked to do so many other things. On the right NBA team, he could be a devastating defender.
