Is the former Blue Devil ready to take off for Detroit?

Luke Kennard stayed at Duke for two years, which was long enough to get a really good idea of his potential. He’s a very smart player, an outstanding shooter and a pretty good though not great athlete.

In Detroit, he has been up and down but his potential has been clear there, too. His career has been hijacked to some extent by injuries - he played just 28 games last season before a knee injury shut him down - but that’s an unfortunate part of the game.

Apparently now he’s in superb condition and the Pistons are reportedly highly impressed. They’re even thinking of putting him at point some this upcoming season.

Believe it or not, Kennard in his fourth season now. The Pistons still seem sold on him and this could be the year when he makes a major step forward. We’d love to see him take things up a level.
