Daily Feather For Australian Fire Relief

It’s hard to see the pictures and believe it can actually be this bad

We’re sure by now most of you have looked up from DBR and college basketball and realized that the Aussies have a major crisis on their hands as an enormous part of the country is on fire.

You may have seen some of the pictures: a Koala stopping a biker for water, a Kangaroo that was tragically held back by a fence, a lush forest on Kangaroo Island in a before and after shot...in the first shot you can’t see anything but trees and road but in the after, you can’t see any trees left.

There’s a more recent shot of two Kangaroos rejoicing as rain finally falls but it’s not enough. This is a long way from over (it’s an amazing picture and likely an award winner but might be from earlier).

Some folks on the boards were discussing it and thought it would be a good idea to think about some fundraising.

Excellent idea. If you’d like to participate head on over. It’s still being debated but here’s the link for the Australian Red Cross.
