You Tube Gold: Brandon Ingram’s Secret Talent

We missed this the first time around. Pretty cool.

We don’t normally do back-to-back Golds with the same person or subject but in this case we’ll make an exception.

Last time out we linked to a clip of Kobe Bryant discussing then Duke star Brandon Ingram’s game and potential.

Today we’re going to show you a side of Ingram that a lot of people, including us, didn’t know about: he has a knack for drawing.

He went to New York and started sketching random people and he’s pretty sharp.

It underscores something we wish more people would think about: athletes and celebrities are public figures of course but they’re just as human as the rest of us with talents and flaws that define us.

That Ingram realized as a kid that he could draw and, we’re sure, spent long hours refining his skill, says a lot about him. It’s not a talent like basketball that’s inherently social. It’s a private thing to an extent, something you do on your own and that you might share with people if you want to.

Or not.

We’d like to see him do some sketches of his Duke south teammates with the Pelicans.
