Duke had won two straight in a difficult season and went to Clemson with some momentum.

Unfortunately, the Blue Devils lost 62-58 to fall back to .500 on the season: Duke is currently 9-9 overall and 3-4 in the ACC.

Leanna Odom had 20 points while Haley Gorecki racked up 16 points, seven boards, seven assists and three steals.

Coach Joanna P. McCallie is a sound defensive coach but offense has never been her forte and it’s definitely not this year. After a four point first quarter against Notre Dame, Duke didn’t score a basket until the 6:55 mark in the first quarter.

Duke next goes to Syracuse on the 23rd before a three-game homestand against Georgia Tech then Triangle rivals NC State and UNC.
