Player’s Grandmother Riding Coach K Hard

After his grandson Michael Savarino was born, Coach K met with his team and said “the first one of you to call me Grandpa is gonna get kicked in the nuts.”

Time flies.

Savarino is now a walk-on for Duke and for Krzyzewski, it presents some interesting dynamics.

Coaching his grandson is the obvious one. He’s now getting coached by a player’s grandmother as wife Mickie has been monitoring her grandson’s progress. And then there’s his mom to consider.

All in all, it promises to be a fascinating situation and one that Duke hasn’t dealt with before. Should be fun.
