It’s been 26 years since Bobby Hurley left Duke and while he certainly hasn’t been forgotten - he's still a heroic figure on Planet Duke - but time has a way of dulling memories.

Probably the greatest play we ever saw in Cameron was when Hurley chased a ball towards press row, leaped in the air, caught the ball and spun and threw a bullet pass to a streaking teammate - right before falling into the Cameron Crazies.

It’s impossible to describe just how stunning that was. Who does that? Who catches a ball while in the air, turns back to the left and hits a perfect pass to a breaking teammate - with no regard for his landing?

Thing is, he did amazing things all the time. If you never saw Hurley play, watch this video. He was daring, resourceful and utterly fearless. Hurley was one of a kind.
