When you watch Hakeem the Dream Olajuwon at his greatest, the idea that centers are obsolete just blows away like tumbleweeds in a strong wind.

He was, in our opinion, the quickest big man to ever play the game. He’s not hitting threes to be sure, but who could stop him? Keep in mind that he played against guys like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Robert Parrish, Shaquille O’ Neal, David Robinson and others. In today’s smaller league, a guy who can do this stuff could average 45-50 ppg. He’d be unstoppable.

Note: we screwed up yesterday’s You Tube Gold about the epic Arizona-Illinois NCAA game, getting the winner wrong. That’ll teach us not to check stuff.
