New York Media Loves Daniel Jones...

We’ve really enjoyed seeing the 180 folks in New York have done about Daniel Jones. Remember Draft Day? Remember how ludicrous it was to draft a quarterback from Duke? Duke?

That’s pretty much over. In fact, the bigger challenge now seems to be managing the hype. He probably won’t replace Eli Manning right away. He’ll surely face rougher challenges than he has so far and like everyone, he’ll have bad games now and then.

Still, when you see stuff like this, it’s amazing to realize everyone thought that it was a blown draft pick. On draft night, GM Dave Gettelman said to check back in a few years and see how it’s worked out. Reactions like this suggest that people aren’t waiting that long.
