We thought someone would have put together a list of providers and what channels to find the ACC Network on but no luck so far. We tried to find out from DirecTV but that was a clown show, to be polite.
We did find one and if you guys know others, or when you find them, please send them to us and we’ll compile them for the general good.
Update: as you’ll notice, while DirecTV told us that channel selection was up to ESPN, apparently ESPN has decided already that upstate New York will get DirecTV channel 612. Brilliant work again by DirecTV customer service.
If you can’t find it right away you can always catch it on WatchESPN. Just make sure you know your password. And a word to the wise about AT&T, the owners of DirecTV: they don’t let you screw around too many times with your password before they reset it and the tech support, again, is pathetic, with the AT&T folks not always being able to do anything with DirecTV issues. However, there is a workaround.
You can go to your local AT&T store and they can reset it for you. We can say all of this because we’ve had to do it.
It really is a shame because the quality of the service, when it’s bug free, is really, really impressive.
Also, since the Syracuse market gets DirecTV on 612, and the Big Ten Network is on 610 and the SEC on 611, odds are that 612 will be consistent nationally too. We honestly have no idea but when you fire up your DirecTV for the ACC Network, that’s the best place to start. As of Wednesday though it jumps from 611 to 614 so we’ll see whenever they actually turn the switch.
- North State: 1062
The following are for Syracuse and Central New York. We don’t know if it will apply around the nation.
- Spectrum: 388. (It looks like it will be 388 in North Carolina as well so that may be consistent across the system).
- Verizon Fios: 329 (SD) and 829 (HD)
- DirecTV: 612 (SD & HD)
- Dish Network: TBD
- New Visions: 80 (SD) and 780 (HD)
Jim L. sent us this about Comcast. He’s not totally sure what to make of it and neither are we but we’ll pass it on:
I’m not sure what this means, but I subscribe to Xfinity (Comcast Residential) and the online streaming program guide shows that on Thursday, August 22, something called “All ACC” will air, described as follows:All ACCLive Thu at 4:00p on 173ESPNDKelsey Riggs(2019-)Hosted by Kelsey Riggs, Jordan Cornette and Dalen Cuff, “All ACC” provides news and information coverage of the ACC’s 27 sponsored sports.
Thursday, August 22
- Airs Thu 4:00 - 4:10p on 173 ESPND
- Airs Thu 4:00 - 4:10p on 621 ESPNU
I don’t know if that’s a one time showing of the Coach K segment, or the start of a permanent showing of the ACC Network.
FYI, I’ve been told by Comcast that they’re part way through the process of rebranding their residential service to “Xfinity”, and that “Comcast” will be used for business accounts. The mixed use of the names is a bit confusing in the meantime.
