Duke Recruiting: Mark Williams Cuts His List

Duke target Mark Williams has cut his list to seven: Duke, Georgetown, N.C. State, Ohio State, Stanford, UCLA, and Virginia Tech.

As Duke fans learned from his sister Elizabeth, the Williams family puts a priority on academics and all seven schools here are solid academically although you could argue there are two tiers here.

Still, you can get an excellent education at each of these schools. One offers a superb combination of top-flight basketball and academics that the others can’t match. That may not be enough, but for a kid who is both academically and athletically gifted, Duke is a great option.
