Georgia Tech’s Jordan Usher has only been with the team for its trip to Spain but the USC transfer has already made a big impression, playing with lots of energy and verve.

At 6-7, he’s tall enough to do a lot of things and should offer the Yellow Jackets some versatility. And with James Banks inside and an established point guard in Jose Alvarado, Georgia Tech has a reasonable base to build on.

Keep an eye on the trip. Whatever else we can say about Josh Pastner, the guy certainly is a good defensive coach. Add in some reasonable offense and who knows what Tech might do?
