Former Duke point guard Tyus Jones, perhaps the smartest point guard we’ve seen in Durham, either has is is about to sign an offer sheet with the Memphis Grizzlies for $28 million. The contract would be for three years.

Minnesota reportedly is leaning against matching it so odds are Jones will be a Grizzly.

That would give Memphis three former Blue Devils: Grayson Allen, Miles Plumlee and Jones. It wouldn’t push New Orleans for the title of Duke South (the Pelicans currently boast Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram, Jahlil Okafor, Frank Jackson, and JJ Redick) but it’s getting close.
