Former Duke Quinn Cook, who just signed with the Los Angeles Lakers after being let go by Golden State, may never be an elite NBA player, but elite players understand how hard he has worked to get where he is.

For an example look at the things his former Golden State teammates have said about him. Draymond Green called him Golden State’s Paddy Mills and hoped he be there “a long time” just before his move and then Klay Thompson said this.

It’s remarkable that a guy who had to fight his way to an NBA spot is engendering these kind of responses from guys who are supposedly his superiors. He’s really left a deep impression in the bay area.
