Strange but true.

Virginia Tech v Duke
WASHINGTON, DC - MARCH 29: Head coach Mike Krzyzewski of the Duke Blue Devils shouts against the Virginia Tech Hokies during the first half in the East Regional game of the 2019 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament at Capital One Arena on March 29, 2019 in Washington, DC.

We still don’t get why Forbes is covering sports but they’re actually doing a pretty good job of it.

Take this article looking at how Coach K is adjusting his recruiting. The basic argument is that Duke, having not had outside shooting and spacing to help Zion Williamson, Cam Reddish and RJ Barrett, is now trying to recruit a more balanced group.

Partly true but not entirely.

First, Cam Reddish might have been that shooter had his health been 100%. Second, if Gary Trent had stuck around one more year, he would have helped enormously and given Duke another strong perimeter factor (and probably made himself a lottery pick too). Third, recruiting a class like that is nothing new. Duke did it in the ‘90s with Chris Carrawell, Nate James and Mike Chappelle (who later transferred to Michigan State).

Still though it’s a pretty good look and better than what you could reasonably expect from a business magazine.
