RJ Barrett and Zion Williamson will make their professional debuts Friday night against each other - surprise! - in NBA summer league play.
While the rest of the world might be in awe of Williamson, Barrett is uniquely positioned otherwise.
He’s seen him do astonishing things and the two share a very tight bond...but Barrett, unlike most people, knows his flaws intimately, having seen them for a year at Duke. Once Williamson gets a head of steam or off the ground, you can’t do much about it.
Before then though?
No one in the world is better prepared, right now, to defend Williamson.
That doesn't mean that Barrett is going to necessarily shut him down or anything but if anyone can defend Williamson today, it’s Barrett.
