It’s hard to believe that Jason Williams has been gone from Duke since 2002. His unique combination of earnest nerd and athletic brilliance is impossible to explain to anyone who didn’t see him play.

He was wonderful. The same guy who could pay such close attention as Coach K instructed him that he didn’t see Steve Blake sneaking up to steal the ball could turn around and help pull off the Miracle Minute or this phenomenal run against UCLA where he scored 17 straight points.
