Most people who play NBA2K don’t much care about what particular player rankings are but what about if you’re actually in the game?

Former Blue Devil Jayson Tatum’s player rating fell from 87 to 85 and isn't very happy about it.

Can he turn it to motivation?

Maybe. When asked what he thinks he can do this upcoming season, Tatum said “I’m average over 20. All-Star. And the Celtics are going to the championship” - partly as a playful answer to his lower rating.

Is that possible?

Could be.

The Celtics are going to be a vastly different team this year without Kyrie Irving, Al Horford, Terry Rozier and Aaron Baynes all moving on, so there’s clearly opportunity for Tatum to take on more responsibility.

Championship?

We’ll have to wait and see about that.
