Duke v Michigan State
NEW YORK, NY - NOVEMBER 15: Head coach Mike Krzyzewski of the Duke Blue Devils hugs Bob Knight after winning his 903rd game and passing him to become the all-time winningest coach in Men’s Division 1 Basketball during the 2011 State Farm Champions Classic at Madison Square Garden on November 15, 2011 in New York City.

Well this is some interesting and unexpected news: after swearing for years he’d never go back, Bob Knight has returned to Bloomington, buying a house only three miles from Assembly Hall.

He’s even shown up on campus a bit, most notably taking in an Indiana baseball game.

A number of people have expressed concern about his health recently and there is sone speculation that he’s returned to Bloomington for health care reasons.

On the other hand, he said recently that the best years in his life were in Bloomington so maybe he finally accepted that it still calls to him and he just wants to be home again. Here’s hoping current IU coach Archie Miller makes an effort to win him over and to get him back to the gym for at least one last game.

Here’s hoping the bitterness has faded for Knight.
