NBA: Finals-Golden State Warriors at Toronto Raptors

After getting praise for his role off the Golden State bench, not to mention his locker room presence, former Blue Devil Quinn Cook is getting some free agent love from various teams:

According to NBCSports.com,

Washington, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Miami, Charlotte, Brooklyn and Dallas are all interested.

We have no idea how Cook feels about his hometown Wizards but for a lot of people, the hometown team retains a draw. It might be sweet to come home to that.

On the other hand he has a home with the Warriors and has carved out an esteemed role on a championship caliber team. Who wouldn’t want that?

On the other hand, you never really know what to expect. Golden State is trying to execute a trade for D’ Angelo Russell. It’s not clear at this point what they’ll give up for it but at a minimum it’s more backcourt competition and possibly less money to spend on Cook. So we’ll see.
