Pelicans Pick Up Jahlil Okafor Option

Good news for former Blue Devil Jahlil Okafor as the Pelicans have picked up the 2019-20 team option for the big man.

Okafor was solid as a rookie but has struggled some since then. He has been dealing with anxiety and depression and is clearly in the best shape of his life (check the pictures out in the link).

With Anthony Davis no longer a Pelican, Okafor now has a chance to carve out a much bigger role, but the bigger news is that he’s dealing with his personal issues. That’s going to make the quality of his life much better.
