The Knicks may not be completely sold on Duke’s RJ Barrett

As we’ve said before, the luckiest thing you could hope for in the draft is to be with a stable franchise and the worst is to be with a dysfunctional one.

So while RJ Barrett has said he likes the idea of being a Knick, he’d get tired of losing and poor management in a big hurry. So if the continued rumors of a Knicks trade down in the draft turn out to be true, say to Atlanta, he’d get a major break even if he’d prefer to be in New York.

And if it’s true that the Knicks “aren't sold” on him yet, then why go somewhere where you’re not completely welcomed?

And consider this too: the Knicks are supposedly planning around Kevin Durant - but what if they can’t sign him? What then?
