People always get worked up about freshmen and how they’ll work into a team and last year’s class is a tough act to follow.

But Duke’s incoming freshmen - Vernon Carey, Wendell Moore, Matthew Hurt and Cassius Stanley - have a couple of advantages.

First they have an extraordinary point guard in Tre Young who has a season under his belt. He’ll be tremendous. And second, there are several upperclassmen who know the ropes and who will play a lot.

The question at Duke isn’t is this class as good as the last one. The real question is: will standards be maintained?
