Don’t Look Now But Elton Brand Is One Hot G.M.

And Philly is benefiting from his smarts

When the Philadelphia 76ers hired former Duke star Elton Brand as GM they made it clear that, as an inexperienced GM, he was going to have limitations.

Now?

Not so much.

Brand has done a tremendous job of rebuilding the Sixers on the fly and in particular the bench.

Given that he’s only been on the job since September that’s really impressive. He’s impressed his colleagues and rivals; if he can keep it up, he’s going to be one of the best in the league.
