Some Key ACC Draft Decisions

A number of NBA Draft decisions that could affect ACC teams so here’s a quick rundown:

  • Mamadi Diakite, Virginia: Out.
  • Jordan Nwora, Louisville: Out
  • Kerry Blackshear, Virginia Tech: Out but transferring
  • Jalen Lecque, NC State recruit: In

All these are rational decisions and probably smart except for Lecque’s.

The reality is that very few guards are prepared for the NBA at 18 and the league is much more patient with bigger guys. Most high school guards really have no idea what a ruthless world they’re entering and how hard it is to succeed.
