It seems likely that, whether they keep the pick or not, the New York Knicks will take RJ Barrett at #3 in the upcoming NBA Draft.

There’s been a lively conversation about whether Barrett or his Duke teammate Zion Williamson will be the better player in the NBA.

You can make an argument either way. Both are terrifically smart players and talented. But Williamson’s physical talent is off the charts while Barrett’s is not as spectacular. Then again, who is?

However, his will is imposing (but so is Williamson’s). Williamson’s energy, highlight plays and insane efficiency overshadowed Barrett but there’s no guarantee that he’ll be better in the pros (there is a guarantee that he’ll get more endorsement money however).

The truth is they complimented each other well at Duke and more importantly, each encouraged the other to excel and took pleasure in that.

The real answer? Time will tell and nothing else. You’d have a hard time going wrong with either one.

His high school coach again spoke about the two stars as he did recently but this time more diplomatically.
