The other day Jay Bilas said - correctly we think - that Grant Hill is the best player to ever come through Duke and that Christian Laettner is the most accomplished.

So what does Laettner think of current Duke prodigy Zion Williamson?

He’s made quite an impression on the Duke legend:

“I think [Williamson] is going to do extremely well in the NBA. He reminds me of Shaq within five or six feet of the bucket, he’s unstoppable. He reminds me a little of LeBron in the open court and transition game, and then also of Charles Barkley in terms of how he pursues the ball and how good of a rebounder he is and how intense he is. He’s a lot of fun to watch.”

”And then if you took Bo Jackson and turned him 6-foot-7 and put him on the basketball court.”

Of all those the Jackson comparison is the most interesting. People who saw him will know that he was one of the greatest athletes we’ve seen. A 6-7 Bo Jackson? That’s a wonderful thought (as long as you don’t have to play against him).
