NCAA Basketball: Syracuse at Duke
Feb 24, 2018; Durham, NC, USA; Duke Blue Devils forward Javin DeLaurier (12) and center Marques Bolden (20) react during the second half against the Syracuse Orange at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Duke won 60-44.

Juniors Marques Bolden and Javin DeLaurier have both entered their name in the NBA Draft.

Neither is currently seen as a draft pick but both will at least gauge NBA interest. Either or both may opt to return to Duke next season.

Given the enormous number of players who have applied this year and the changing nature of the game with the focus on versatility it’s hard right now to see a natural path for either guy. Bolden at times was an imposing force inside, especially defensively, and DeLaurier was radically better by the end of the year but we’re not sure either is ready for NBA level ball.

We could be wrong of course and we’d be happy for either one if they made it. It’s just that the odds this year seem long. Another year of refinement would help immensely.
