With his skill set he’d fit Duke’s scheme like a dream

Alec Kessler
Walker Kessler’s late uncle, 6-11 Alec Kessler, made it to the NBA and later became perhaps the world’s tallest orthopedic surgeon.

There’s not a lot here in this article about Walker Kessler, the outstanding rising senior big man from Georgia, but there is a bit of information about his family (a basketball family) and his ties to Georgia (not necessarily his motivating force).

As a versatile player who can do many things and who has great range, he’d be a natural fit at Duke. Look who else has filled that role over the years: Mark Alarie, Danny Ferry, Shane Battier, Kyle Singler, Marvin Bagley, most recently Zion Williamson and of course Christian Laettner.

It’s a great role if he wants it.
