As we like to remind from time to time, relying on recruiting news from Duke-oriented sites runs the risk of being overly optimistic. So we don’t totally buy in until we see it from different perspectives.

One of the best Duke sites for recruiting information is our SBN colleagues over at ASeaOfBlue.com where we learn that Matthew Hurt’s family decided not to have an in-home with Kentucky’s John Calipari or Bill Self of Kansas. The feeling over there is that “it would now be a major shock if he didn’t pick Duke.”

That doesn’t mean it’s done yet but it would be cool to see that Duke’s Minnesota Pipeline is still flowing (other guys who recently came from Minnesota - Tyus Jones, Tre Jones, and Gary Trent. Also from Minnesota: Nick Horvath and, we think, Todd Anderson, one of Coach K’s first recruits at Duke).
