Where There’s a Will There’s A Wade? LSU Coach May Be In Major Trouble

On Thursday reports surfaced that LSU’s Will Wade was caught on wiretap allegedly discussing a “strong-ass offer” for a recruit.

The recruit is apparently current Tiger Javonte Smart.

Wade jokes that the offer is more than the NBA minimum but complains that it was mishandled.

As you may recall, young Wade has been (or will be) subpoenaed to appear in court in one of the FBI/Adidas trials where his options will be to testify truly and accept the consequences, perjure himself or plead the Fifth, and since he hasn’t been charged, we don’t think he has that option.

If this is true, it would almost certainly end his LSU career and most likely kill any chance of coaching in college again.

One question we hope is asked: Coach, where did you get the money for that “strong-ass offer?”
