We were very sorry to see that Phil Cofer’s dad had passed away and also moved by the comments made by his teammates. Clearly that’s a tight-knit group.
As it turns out, the Cofer family is deep in debt for Michael Cofer’s health care and funeral expenses. Florida State checked with the NCAA and everyone is cool with Phil posting this fundraiser over at GoFundme.com.
His family is trying to raise $100,000 for the necessary expenses and we think it’d be nice if members of the ACC family who are able could pitch a few bucks in.
It’s all competition on the court but when you look past that, it’s just people dealing with life and the Cofers just got hit with a 2x4.
