By now you’ve probably seen the iconic photo of RJ Barrett dunking against North Dakota State as Zion OMG Williamson leaps in celebration.

In one of the many ironies we encounter in the Triangle, the photographer, Kevin C. Cox, is a UNC grad.

This photo neatly bookends another from earlier in the season which saw RJ Barrett jumping in celebration as Williamson did his own dunk, the celebrated 360 against Clemson.

Cox’s photo instantly went viral. It really sums up Duke’s season, the wonderful youth of this team, and the infectious enthusiasm it offers.

We don’t know how far they’ll go obviously, but that one moment frozen in time will keep this team fresh no matter what happens.

As it turns out, photographing a large, very fast young man in mid-air is not without its challenges. As a bonus, this link has a new word: chimping.
