We can identify with this guy to an extent because we also misunderstood Zion OMG Williamson before we saw him play for Duke.

Like Carron Phillips of the New York Daily News, we didn’t realize how complete his game was and had no idea how wicked smart of a player Williamson is. It didn’t take long to realize the error of our ways - just the first game of the Canadian trip. By the time Duke played Kentucky, we weren’t sure that Duke was going to win, because we were hearing that UK looked sensational on its summer trip and we still hadn’t seen Tre Jones and Cam Reddish at that point - but we had no more misconceptions about Williamson. He’s something we’ve never seen and are so lucky to have seen him at Duke.

By the way, one of the things that people still haven’t caught on to entirely about Williamson, and one way in which is vastly superior to LeBron James, to whom he is often compared, is the way that he makes sure that everyone feels part of the group. This is an emotional intelligence that makes the team much stronger and more united. You can’t see much evidence of it but
