Against Boston, RJ Barrett Continues To Impress

Former Duke star is proving to be a versatile and effective player

Former Blue Devil RJ Barrett had another good all-around game, this time against the Celtics, scoring 15 points, grabbing seven boards and handing out five assists. He also had a steal and a block.

Currently Barrett is averaging 18.2 mpg, 6.4 rpg and 3.0 apg - and he’s 19. You have to wonder where he’ll be in five years.

On the downside, he just shot 5-17, but it’s worth noting that Boston’s Brad Stevens is a superb defensive coach.

Overall, he’s shooting 47.4 percent, with 42.1 percent from three point range.

Boston won though, on a last-second clutch shot by fellow Brotherhood member Jayson Tatum - over Barrett. That’s the second time a Duke guy has done that to Barrett in this young ACC season (Kyrie Irving was the first).

You can see that play on this page.
